This is a fantastic game that, in my mind, redeems the prospects of mobile gaming and the principles of the developer community. I’m not a big mobile gamer, but have been sampling games along the way for the last few years to try to stay in touch with the state of the technology. And I’ve been sorely disappointed as nearly everything I’ve tried has struck me as way too superficial and slick. Then I stumbled upon Transport Tycoon, and it immediately brought back fond memories from the mid to early 90s. But I was suddenly saddened, as I just KNEW that this version would a butchered, degraded and cheapened shell of the original. Boy, was I ever wrong! This is just a spectacular game with a level of quality and detail and dedication that you don’t find often in today’s mobile gaming environment. I can tell that this is a labor of love for the developers, and they set out day one to do the legacy of this title justice, and they delivered. While other developers are aiming to make as much money as fast as possible by churning out cheap glossy garbage that somehow addicts the masses, this team knows that true success comes with doing things well and taking pride in your work. They deserve a ton of credit - and this games deserves more attention!

Game is great but programmers are better had a problem and fixed it fast. Dont judge by mistakes judge by how they are fixed. I wold pay a great deal for any game this company builds. Thank you for the game and the support.

I searched for this game because I love it so much. Lost some features for iPad version, but still great.

This game is awesome! You should add a multiplayer to the game through Game Center. That would be great. You should also add a sandbox mode so we can have unlimited money.

So, when I first got this game I thought it would be a boring city builder thing. But it was not. It was much better!! I love this game, and I see no problems! Great job developers! Really love it!

I love this game. Its a little complicated but you will get used to it and when you do, you will understand what im talking about. The only thing i wish they added was, instead of buying new cars, trucks, airplanes, trains, and boats they should be able to get repaired by a workshop or something because im tired of buying new vehicles when i can just repair them.

This is clearly one of the best strategy games on any platform. Still discovering new features and techniques for creating transportation empires. The only downside is predictability: (1) once you accumulate enough cash you cannot fail; (2) when the time, comes built airports and as larger aircraft become available, buy them. The one thing that really challenges me is all of a sudden competitors will show up everywhere--with RR tracks going all over with crazy configurations. Competitors are also good at slipping in and Capitalizing on industries youve built. Within is a GREAT game.

After playing rollercoaster, zoo, and railroad tycoon and making millions, I am always trying to find the next tycoon game, especially for iOS. Well this one rivals those. It is simple to get the hang of it and hard to master it (which is a great thing!).

Been playing it over a year now. Runs smoother than ever. Seeing soo many games out there with in-app purchases makes me appreciate this game even more. This is a game done right! --older review-- What a beautifully done blast from the past! Be careful though, just like its ancestor, youll be sucked into hours of goods moving fun. If youre on the fence about plunking down a few bucks for this one, dont wait! The game is stellar. If youre new to TT, youll like it...and the tutorial levels a good. If youre a veteran Tycoon, youll love it! True to the original with some nice updated features, the game play is great. And you remember the old TT tunes? Its got those too. Ive spent a few hours with the game now and Im very impressed. Ive not had any lock ups others have mentioned. I saved and reloaded scenarios a couple times so far without problem. Its what TT fans have been waiting for and its good!

I loved the original locomotion, and I always wondered if it could be put on IOS my dreams have finally come true!

If youre new to the game, see the forums. They can be a huge help. For example, town growth is easy. They get plenty big. This is basically Chris Sawyers PC game Locomotion. Its a lot of fun and the developer did an excellent job converting the interface from PC- to touch-screen centric. Sadly, though Chris Sawyers original Rollercoaster game wont make it to mobile - another company (not 31x) delivered an IAP version that doesnt look and play anything like the original. Definitely not fun. Youre much better off with this version of Transport Tycoon

I dont think Ive ever written one on these, but I thought I had to say something. This is one of the best tycoon/strategy games Ive seen for iPhone. If you like that kind of think and dont mind spending ten minuets learning the controls you will be in for a LOT of fun.

I played the original transport tycoon, and this is an excellent port. There was a lot of time and thought put into the game. Plus, its made by Chris Sawyer, the legendary coder!

Just buy it! This is the guy that made Locomotion and the first two Roller Coaster Tycoons.

As long as your setup isnt too complex, it works beautifully. Trains get easily lost though, especially when all stations are connected in several larger loops. Trains will start heading to the wrong station. In addition, signals dont work together as well as in the OSX version, and two trains can easily end up waiting on opposite sides of the same signal.

This game is absolutely amazing. Worth the price. Reminds me of my childhood when i played Chris Sawers locomotion. One comment though, it would be great if we could zoom out more to see more area of the map. Thanks.
